A Personal license is an option for private individuals who purchase a license with their own funds and solely for their own use. The license cannot be purchased, refunded, or in any way financed by any company or organization. The license may be used by the same individual on up to three computers simultaneously. The license is non-transferable and limited to processing up to 5,000 flight logs per year.

A Business license is the standard licensing option for business entities and organizations. The license is purchased by the company or organization and can be used by any single person within the company or organization. The license can be installed on one computer at a time. The license may be transferred to another user within the company or organization if the original user is no longer using it. A Business Standard license is limited to processing up to 10,000 flight logs per year, while a Business Pro license is limited to processing up to 25,000 flight logs per year.

Flight Reader can be installed on any computer running Windows 10 (or higher). It can also be run on a Mac with Parallels Desktop or VMware Fusion (free for personal use). You'll need to install Google Earth if you'd like to view the KML files generated by Flight Reader.

An Internet connection is required to do the following:

• Verify your Flight Reader license key
• Retrieve keys to decrypt flight logs created by DJI Fly 1.2.2 (or newer) or 3rd party applications using DJI SDK 2.4.13 (or newer)
• Retrieve elevation data from Flight Reader API
• Retrieve flight location from the Flight Reader API
• Display Google Maps inside of Flight Reader
• Sync flight logs from the DJI Cloud (if you enable that feature in the Flight Reader Options)

Note: Your flight information or other private information will never be sent to DJI, Google, or other 3rd parties.

Flight Reader is able to decrypt and view the flight data inside of the flight logs created by the following applications:

• TXT flight logs from DJI GO/Fly/Pilot or other applications that use the DJI SDK (instructions for retrieving log files here)
• Note: Flight Reader cannot read DAT flight logs. Most of DJI's current drones create encrypted DAT flight logs — and those cannot be decrypted by any application.
• JSON flight logs from Aloft Air Control
• LOG flight logs from DroneDeploy
• CSV flight logs from Drone Harmony
• GUTMA flight logs from FlytBase
• CSV flight logs from Litchi (instructions for retrieving log files here)
• CSV flight logs from Map Pilot
• TXT flight logs from Specta Drone

Flight logs are processed and stored locally on your computer. The number of flights logs you can process per year depends on your license type.

Note: Extracting data for use in other products or processing large amounts of third-party flight logs violates the Flight Reader Terms of Use. The Flight Reader API should be used instead.

All Flight Reader licenses are lifetime (perpetual) licenses. That means there are no required yearly fees.

When you purchase Flight Reader, you'll receive one year of free upgrades to any new versions of Flight Reader released during that one year period. After one year has passed, you can continue to use your current version of Flight Reader for as long as you'd like or purchase another year of software updates for $29 for Personal licenses, $59 for Business Standard licenses, or $89 for Business Pro licenses.

All flight logs are processed and stored locally (offline) on the computer where Flight Reader is installed. Nobody (including DJI) will be able to access any of the flight data displayed within Flight Reader.
